The School of Clinical Oncology proudly presents
"Singapore Radiation Oncology Annual Dinner Symposium 2022 -
Ushering in the era of Biology-Based Radiotherapy: SFRT and FLASH"
The School of Clinical Oncology was delighted to invite participants to attend the Singapore Radiation Oncology Annual Dinner Symposium which was finally be held physically on 16th February 2023 after two years of virtual meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic!
This year's event switches gears to focus on an emerging field in Radiation Oncology where technology meets biology. As PBT reaches our shores in 2023 and allows us to achieve better geometry in the clinical setting, we now cast our eyes on potentially the next frontier in Radiation Oncology with an exploration of Spatially Fractionated Radiation Therapy (SFRT) and FLASH therapy.

Through carefully curated talks by prominent international experts, we explore the history and basis of these modalities and consider their potential to revolutionise the field of radiation oncology, using modern technology to generate systemic effects via immunomodulation or other mechanisms.

We are pleased to share the 3 talks that will be presented, and that will run concurrently with the dinner:

1. SFRT, its rationale, clinical experience, potential clinical applications and future directions by Dr Nina Mayr
2. Clinical Updates by Dr Gael Boivin
3. The biological basis for Immuno-Radiotherapy in Solid tumors by Dr Alvin Wong

We hope you have enjoyed this event where the Rad Onc fraternity finally met up together in one place for a good time of catching up! It was a lovely evening of engaging in thought-provoking and enlightening discussions.
